Hello friends,

Let me show you our next project - DR BR E11 electric locomotive. Highlights:

- available in analog and digital version
- triple warm white headlights and double red rear lights
- two types of couplers available - Marklin or MTL (US style)
- driver's cabin interior modeled (projected, in development)
- prototypical painting and industrial quality pad printing for lettering
- separately applied parts (roof equipment, metal handrails, brake hoses, wipers, metal buffers)
- enhanced pantographs with diagonal bars and painting
- professionally designed package box

Model is still in development (we are working on headlights and rear lights now). I hope that we will complete this loco very soon.
Currently 3 color schemes are planned - red (as shown on photos), green and blue.

This is amazing ..... incredibly beautiful. :o :bravo:
Basis of the loco by BR 143/BR243?

Thank you all for the nice words! ;)

André, yes, it's a chassis from BR 143 loco. Bases from Re 4/4 II and Re 4/4 IV are suitable too, but it's hard to find the first loco, and the last one is an old model with old motor.

Mattias, I can't wait to show them too :) But we are waiting for some spare parts from Marklin to let these models work, and I hope we get them very soon.

Regards,
Alex

Hello Alex,
just great!
If it is so hard to get a BR143 as a base. I could still provide two of my 143 for a tag!
Then I like to let it also build the E42!

Hello Gunnar,

Thank you very much! Surely we will make a E42 in green/black livery. If we will not find a BR143 chassis, I'll write you about this.

New BR143's are still available on eBay.de. But Marklin announced a new BR143 locomotive (88437) and it should be available soon.
By the way, there's no info about the type of motor that will be used in this model. Marklin is finally switching to the new motors, but it makes a lot of problems for those who use Velmo decoders... So if 88437 will be equipped with a new motor, it will probably not be possible to install VELMO LDS206247-I into it, and we will then have to wait an updated version from VELMO.

Regards,
Alex

The installation of a suitable decoder does not seem so problematic to me.
After all, the motto 'back to the roots' always applies, if you decide to convert a Märklin locomotive with a bell anchor engine. Then only the free wiring remains.

Gunnar, yes, I agree with you, the installation of the decoder with wired outputs is not problematic for me too. But I like Velmo decoders for their professional, factory-made look and for the ability of not having to modify the locomotive at all. Truly, Velmo made what Marklin had to made many years ago (and they promised this many times).

And there are still so-called model train specialists who firmly claim, that Z scale can not be digitized!
And the earth is a disc!
