Very nice pictures!
You have been witnessing some Italian railway historic pieces.
The vehicles you see in the pictures are "Elettromotrici SFV gruppo 420" built in 1926-32 by the company Carminati & Toselli of Milan with electric equipment from the TIBB company. These run initially on the whole Roma-Fiuggi-Alatri -Frosinone railway, and were later employed only in the Roma-Giardinetti tract when most of this beautiful railway was closed. Here a picture of how they looked in 1948
Bild
They were refurbished in 1960-61 and again with minor changes in the 2000s
The 950 mm gauge is the Italian metric gauge (in fact we call it metric) the reason of the difference in size with respect to the rest of the world is in the fact that we measure the distance between rails from the centre line of the rail and not like in other countries between the closest edges of the two rails.
The company Carminati & Toselli was very successful in producing this type of electric railcar. In the 20's, many railways that switched from steam to electric purchased varieties of vehicles built around the same plant with changes in length, gauge and power system
As N-scale model maker I have produced models of the ones purchased by the Ferrovia Elettrica della Val Di Fiemme (Fleimstalbahn)

Which run on Z-scale track (the one used in the Nm standard) using my standard bogies made for the Z scale and my magnetic couplings.

Ciao

Wow, very well done!
I've had the chance to photograph both the ex FEVF railcars on the Ferrovia Genova - Casella last year on a photo excursion. One of them they put back in the FEVF paint scheme and they even rebuilt the door of the baggage compartment. The director of the FGC told us, that they plan to do the same with one of the ex Ferrovia Spoleto Norcia railcars.
