I am not sure if this link was already mentioned here on the forum, but I found probably the best ever encyclopedia of abandoned railways in Germany:

There is also a small section about abandoned routes in some other countries.
It is extremely interesting to explore it!

Thank you Alex. There are more sites that care about those lost places. This is just another example missing in that list perhaps since it belongs to more than one region and is therefor part of none.
Danke Alex. Es gibt noch mehr Seiten, die sich um verlorene Bahnen kümmern. Das hier ist nur ein weiteres Beispiel, das in der Liste fehlt, vielleicht weil es zu mehr als einem Bundesland gehört und deswegen nun Teil von keinem ist.

thank you very much for this www-side. It provides plenty examples for the existance of a single track branch line between two main lines, as it is the theme of my layout.
