Shortly after Zmodell turned 10 (I covered this matter here viewtopic.php?t=26055), a “wonderful” “congratulation” with the anniversary followed from russian “creatures” – this night, on 06.07.2026, our workshop for CNC plastic processing located in a Kyiv suburb has been destroyed by a hit of a ballistic missile. The best and the most important fact: luckily, all our members and their families are alive – everything is fine with them. However, unfortunately, it was impossible to avoid casualties – many other people died after this terrible attack. Several streets of Vyshneve – a small suburb of Kyiv – were entirely ruined in the area surrounding our facility.
On the following videos, everyone can observe in details where Zmodell load inserts were once produced and what has happened this night to our workshop:

A short look outside our building:
Along with developing and manufacturing layouts and architectural models, this CNC workshop since 2020 was constantly busy with producing plastic base plates for Zmodell load inserts and also many other plastic parts for my products, including special washers and fittings for the upcoming digital sound kit for the BR 628.2. Until February 2022, I was a very frequent visitor of this workshop where I personally controlled production of my plastic parts and was always enjoying warm and very friendly atmosphere. Sometimes, we visited this workshop even together with my children. On the following pictures, my little Ksenia is looking through the newly built architectural diorama standing in the room that was ruined this night:
By the way, the guitar on the pictures is still there and can be seen on the videos above.
Here is a website of this workshop named MaketAll: https://maketall.com.ua
The owner of the workshop is Mr. Michael Kuninets. MaketAll is actually one of very few such workshops that remained operational after the war began in our country in 2022.
At the moment, all the activities are stopped there, and our team is urgently seeking new premises for relocation, as the restoration of the old building is not possible. Here is a brief list of what survived after the attack:
– Two CNC milling machines (the consistency still has to be checked on the new location)
– Two computers
– One 3D printer
– Some materials (sheet plastic, PVC and so on).
Hopefully, it will later turn out that something else left intact, too, but it is impossible to assess it right now – until all the debris is cleaned and sorted out completely. However, what was surely destroyed is two computer displays. While the computer system boxes were standing under the tables and, luckily, survived the attack, the displays were on the tabletops – very close to the windows – and, as a result, too vulnerable.
I have to say that I usually never ask for help – this terror never stops even for a single day during almost five years already, and this forum is, surely, not the best place for everyday reports about what is going on in Ukraine – we have news for that. But this case is different because the attack this night affected Michael, my good friend, our colleague, great professional, and a father of two little children – this is the point when he lost almost everything and has to start it all from the very beginning in a very short time:

What is needed at first is the replacement of destroyed computer displays. The workshop needs very urgently at least one 27-inch display with WQHD resolution (2560x1440) – these parameters are crucial for the tasks normally completed there – creating and editing CNC projects and precise graphics.
Luckily, this type of computer displays became very popular and cheap during last years. Here are some links to show what is needed:

It would be extremely helpful in the current situation if such a purchase were possible. If someone is ready to help, please send the display to my home address in Dortmund:

After receiving it, I will immediately send it to Kyiv, Ukraine via regular bus connection from Dortmund ZOB. A photographic proof of receipt will be published in this thread as soon as Michael receives the display.
As for the future plans: the current delivery of the load inserts that was planned for the nearest time is not affected – luckily, everything was already produced before the attack. However, we expect 1-2 month delay for the future deliveries and we hope very much it won’t take longer.
Also, the ongoing development of the digital sound kit for the BR 628.2 is not affected, too – the necessary plastic fittings were already produced before the attack as well.
I and all my colleagues in Kyiv, Ukraine are very thankful in advance to everyone who will find a possibility not to stay away from the current terrible situation.
