Re: Zmodell Ladegut für Güterwagen
Greetings to everyone,
I would like to introduce the new type of load inserts which I developed after numerous requests – metal pipes for type Snps 719 double-stacked flatcar. This is one of the most advanced kind of load inserts I made so far. To achieve the realistic look, the highest quality materials and the best technologies were used. It is worth mentioning that these loads are still being produced in Kyiv, Ukraine – despite never-ending shelling and almost constant power outage.
The pipes feature thin walls and made of 304 stainless steel. They are airbrushed from the both sides (outer and inner) with lacquer paint – thick semi-gloss black coating from the outside, and matte red-brown coating from inside.
There is also a high-quality 1440 dpi UV-printing on the both sides of pipes:
Three different logos of famous pipe manufacturers available: Mannesmann (Art. No. ZM-MRK-SNPS-014A), Hoesch (Art. No. ZM-MRK-SNPS-014B) and Thyssen (Art. No. ZM-MRK-SNPS-014C).
Pipes are arranged into 3-piece bundles tied with straps made of 0.2 mm photo-etched nickel silver painted in orange color. There are anti-slip supports on the bottom of the load insert made from thin 0.5 mm natural wood veneer sheet. These supports fit precisely between the ribs on the bottom of the car and prevent the load from sliding during the motion.
And here is how all of them look together:
I have to admit that usually I am very self-critical to my own products and I never settle down until nothing is left to be desired, but once I got these pipes in my hands ready, I could only say “Wow!”
New load inserts are available here:

Here is also a useful link to the selection of pictures of the freight trains transporting pipes:
https://www.bahnbilder.de/name/galerie/ ... nzuge.html
I will expand the range of this type of loads with different sizes of pipes in the future. Pipe loads will be also prepared for the type RES flatcars. It will be a separate product with slightly different dimensions and fittings.
Also, many sold out articles were re-stocked with the last delivery.
Best regards,
Alex

Re: Zmodell Ladegut für Güterwagen
Hi friends,
I was requested to expand the range of load inserts for type OOt Kohlentrichterwagen. Although this type of cars was used mostly for transporting coal, I decided to fulfill this request in order to give more freedom and diversity to those who own these unique in the class freight cars from I-II Era. Here is it - gray gravel load insert for type OOt freight car. As many other types of loads, the base of this one is made from 0.3 mm photo-etched nickel silver and airbrushed in black:
It is available here:
https://www.1zu220-shop.de/Zmodell/Lade ... 46585.html
Also, some other types of sold out items were replenished. I hope I will have a good luck with this together with my colleagues in Kiev, Ukraine and we will be able to continue production in such dangerous and uneven conditions.
Best regards,
Alex

Re: Zmodell Ladegut für Güterwagen
Hi friends,
Along with replenishing many sold out articles, I added more types of loads in order to widen the assortment further. First of all, I produced new pipe loads for type Snps 719 double-stacked flatcar. New load features single metal tube with large diameter. It can be a good addition to already existing loads with three smaller pipes for mentioned flatcar. Like in previous case, new loads were produced using high quality materials and advanced technologies.
The basis of the new load is a thin-wall 12 mm tube made of 304 stainless steel. It is carefully polished and airbrushed at the both sides - with black semi-gloss lacquer coating outside and red-brown matte inside. The tubes feature high-quality printings at the both sides. They also tied with straps made of 0.2 mm photo-etched nickel silver painted in orange color. The loads also have stoppers at the bottom of the load insert made of thin 0.5 mm natural wood veneer sheet in order to prevent the load from sliding during the motion.
Three different logos of famous pipe manufacturers available: Mannesmann (Art. No. ZM-MRK-SNPS-014D), Hoesch (Art. No. ZM-MRK-SNPS-014E) and Thyssen (Art. No. ZM-MRK-SNPS-014F).

I also added one more type of the load insert for American gondola cars - metal scrap. As always, each load insert is assembled manually and therefore it is completely unique:

Re: Zmodell Ladegut für Güterwagen
Greetings to all,
I would like to introduce new universal type of loads – wooden shipping crates. They are being offered in two variants – for III-IV Era and for V-VI Era. Each variant have slightly different construction, but the same size and counts three different names; 6 different versions in total.
New loads are produced manually with exceptional level of details. The base of the load is a “brick” of hard foamed PVC processed on CNC cutting machine. All sides (including bottom) are covered with very thin natural wooden planks. Assembled crate received satin airbrushed lacquer coating for moisture-proof and better adhesion of printed texts.
All lettering, logos and numbers are printed using direct UV-printing technology. So once again, nothing common to decals. All four sides are printed with intricate lettering. Assembled crates also feature imitation of water-resistant rubberized tarpaulin covering on the top side. It is in black color for Era III-IV variants and in blue for modern Era V-VI versions.
Wooden crates also secured with nylon belts (Era III-IV variants) and metal chains (Era V-VI). New loads are very versatile and compatible with a big number of Z scale flatcars. I also took care of fixing the loads on the rolling stock. Wooden crates feature small self-adhesive mounts on the bottom side from thin foamed EVA tape. They allow to secure the loads on flatcars precisely and reliably, and also without gaps between bottom of the crate and flatcar’s surface. Of course, protective film should be carefully removed from the mounts before installation.
Here is a full list of compatible models:

Re: Zmodell Ladegut für Güterwagen
Hi friends,
I decided to add some fine-detailed load inserts for one more kind of rolling stock - type DRG SSml/DB SSw 07 flatcar. This model is a relatively rare item in Z scale, presented only in three article numbers: 82570, 82571 and 82572. These models cover I, II and III Eras. Expectedly, these old flatcars exist in more variations in other scales like N and H0 - with quite a wide range of loads. Nevertheless, I decided that something good should be available for these flatcars in Z scale too.
I prepared two different variants - raw wood stock and stacks of processed timber planks. The very first 82570 set consisting three flatcars of this type also features wooden load inserts, but wooden planks used there are too thick and look completely out of scale. Here is a comparison of original loads from 82570 set with my ones:
I used much thinner materials - planks in my load insert have a profile of only 2 x 1 mm size, which corresponds to 440 x 220 mm in 1:1 scale and therefore much closer to the common prototypical dimensions of processed wood that often used for building superstructures of houses, especially half-timbered ones. Spacing wooden planks have a profile of 1 x 0.5 mm size.
Both types of loads are tied with darkened photo-etched nickel silver chains which are also available separately. This small detail definitely adds certain points to the realistic look of the load.
